MXOLISI HOBOYI

Mxolisi started his career at Arnot Coal Mine as a mining machinery operator, it was during that period that his leadership and passion for worker’s rights became apparent. A champion for transformation, representation and empowerment. He is a former branch leader of the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM). He was appointed as part of the board of Mine Workers provident fund, managing assets worth over R28 billion.

He is also the founder the Mhlonhlo Local Municipality trust fund launched by the Minister of Higher Education Dr Blade Nzimande in 2013, with the aim to identify best performing students and award bursaries. He is currently the Stakeholder Relations Director at Innovators Resources.
